Reviews for "Fruity Tower"

Kinda neat. Though very repetitive. Also though the game is based around the economy, as it is the only way to upgrade in this 'roguelike', it is kinda really busted.
For example floorskipping to floor 10 costs 2k, the same as a lategame gun, there's really no reason to not start from the boring beginning section then. Also stuff like the 3k Max HP upgrade gives 100maxHP and 100HP, and the 8k MaxHP ugrade gives 300MaxHP and 100HP, there's also water that gives 200HP so buying the later tomato and the water would be 10k instead of 9k, there's not a reason to. And because of this economy there's no reason to check out every gun or even switch between them because they're straight upgrades, I just bought the Berry Blaster and won.
Also guns on the same tier of price have clearly superior and weaker alternatives, no need to go for Low Firerate High Damage.
So yeah, kinda neat style, very much overstayed it's welcome for a full experience, I put on a Podcast, took 50 minutes.

a tomato is a veggie

good music. fun gameplayy and REALLY good art direction. you put memes in the game so that's why i'm only giving 3 stars.

Not bad, though could use some improvements IMO.

Like YaeGames pointed out, a heads up about the penalty for dying would have been nice, rather than me finding out just a few floors from the top when I suddenly lose half my money and have to spend most of it to get a decent weapon and then being forced to run through almost all of the floors again because I don't have enough money to skip them.

All this because I was a bit careless because the game never tells you that there even is a penalty for dying.

Also, while the game is kinda fun, it does get repetive after awhile after having to run through the same floors several times over.
IMO it would have been nice if you could buy something like a ladder to skip floors. something with a higher one-time cost but that's lets you skip them for free after buying it.

However, because to the tedious monoty due to a lack of any such item/skip I can't really rate this game any higher.

Quite simple but decent roguelite, if not for the fact that it is too damn laggy on my machine. I died a couple times just because I started moving after killing everyone on the floor, expecting enemy bullets to fly past me - but no, they were still lagging behind, so I end up walking into them
