Reviews for "Bee On Duty"

very charming and addictive game!
it's very simple and easy to understand, and the later rounds even require you to make the most out of all of the towers. (except for the venus flytrap, that tower has a very bad case of "chomper syndrome"). the music and visuals are a nice little touch for this game. not too crazy, but also not terrible; it's kinda cute actually!
although the gameplay does become a bit stale and numbing rather quickly, it's still fun for what it is. I definitely recommend this one, and can't wait to see more from the developers!
(my record before getting bored was 22 days)

edit: sorry yes, i call it "chomper syndrome" based on the chomper tower from PvZ. it leaves itself vulnerable after destroying an enemy, essentially making it a one-use plant. whereas in the PvZ games you could use a Wall-nut to defend the chomper, here it just gets overrun by the massive bee swarms, making it less effective than the castor oil and poison plant combo i used.

Thanks for the reply ! Since we made it for a game jam we published the game with very little time for balancing so we really appreciate your feedback ! Could you explain what you mean by the chomped syndrome ? It does feel like the flytrap is missing something but I’m not sure how we can improve it. Thanks again for the review !

This game was so good it had me craving for honey for a whole week straight. Great Game Guys! Keep It up!!!

Different

Now not sure I would label this a tower defence type of game but it was different the bees the flowers the honey lol all pretty fun of a game In todays world of games you tend to see alot of the same of maybe this or maybe that but what you have is something thats different from the rest your style your effort and your quality, so in that sense you have made it different for sure and even unique from the rest of what we tend to see This was a pretty Positive experience, the bees the flowers the honey lol all pretty fun of a game In todays world

~X~

The best way I can describe this game is that it's like playing a rendition of 'The Flight Of The Bumblebee' with a tempo that continues to rise.

I caught on quick with my first attempted (holding onto the pollen is a bit of an issue, but plenty more of where that came from), yet when night began, I found myself flailing about as I try to find a way to eliminate the foes. I discovered that my stinger was my form of attack and decided to restart with this in mind.

The second attempt went decently the first few nights. I got hit, my character was overlaid with a tint effect, and when I vanquish my foe, I found that I'm still white. I shrugged it off and went to the hive to upgrade, but I found that I can't access the upgrade menu.

I restarted again, getting farther this time as I passed the boundaries of my field and discovering many sights. Enemies were in stasis, but whatever. I discovered 'the secret medal' but I didn't receive it upon activation. I tried multiple times at blowing up the pup, yet the first time I tried, it just kept getting bigger. It eventually covered the entire layout, pass the beehive that (once again) refuses to open the upgrade menu. I eventually gave up about five days later as I was getting swarmed, getting injured in the process and stuck with the tint overlay after a few hits.

The game can be fun, but the random bugs makes things complicated to the point where 'The Flight Of The Bumblebee' would sync in perfectly.

Psonbre responds:

We have fixed all of these bugs in our latest update! Thanks a lot for helping us finding them!

Needs waves, more items, and enemies spawn in way too slow.
