Come on, "The Great Gatsby" wasn't THAT bad.
I believe Gatsby's still a vital criticism of modern culture, even if it's set many years prior to now. The shallowness of the jazz age continues to reflect on us.
But, that's just one little English major's opinion. As far as the movie goes... Pretty impressive. Nicely done.

This is simply superb! My god this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. As someone earning his M.A. in American literature, to see something of this...caliber on Ng....it's moving. This is so powerful. I can't wait to see the whole thing. Will you make this a series by chapters or sections?
