Reviews for "Kirby: Zero Two Battle (Orchestral)"

...The legendary. Oooh boy, you're tackling the legendary 0² Battle theme. Let's go!

•So, I have a lot of remixes to compare this with. It's one of the most popular Kirby tracks, so it's to be expected - and right of the bat, I expected you to do the same as with Bowser, in the sense that you'd start with an epic-sounding build up to properly introduce what was to come.
And what do you know - you *did* it :3
This build-up isn't something I see often for 0², but it's right up your alley. The harp-like strings alongside the drum give a great feeling of "calm before the storm", and *that* is how a build-up should sound like, in my opinion.

•1:12 I like that the orchestration's picking up in intensity, but because the drums from the build-up are still there, you can tell that... That 0² is still preparing, so to speak.

•1:48 Oh boy, here comes the second build-up! *Now* the energy's something else.

•2:04 Hello, Typical Miguel Orchestral Epic Add-Up! I've heard *that* kind of addition in... pretty much all of your epic-sounding battle tracks, as far as I can remember, and it is fantastic to hear it again here - 'cause I'm perfectly aware that you're gonna use it later in the music.

•3:10 This entire section, from 3:02 to 3:30 is absolutely beautiful to my ears. It's a great representation of what makes 0²'s battle track so... sad-sounding. The instrumentation, I mean. It comes with the orchestral suite, I suppose, but... yeah, it works for me.

•4:45 Now *that* sounds like a build-up for an epic climax! I've been waiting for it the entire time, and I'm glad to see what you've cooked up with it! I think my only regret with this piece is that you could argue that it could've sounded more intense than it currently is, but you seem to have focused on the harmonious nature of the piece, working on each section so that all of them sound saddening yet epic, without it being... *solely* epic.
What I mean by this is that this arranged piece, to me, sounds closer to the militaristic awesome buildup from your Airship remix, instead of the grandiose tragedies you depict in your King Bowser Remix.
*thinks* ...I think 0² here is a mix of both, actually. Not as intense as it could be because it's not the point, but not completely melancholic either, because I mean *IT'S FREAKING ZERO TWO.*

So, yeah! It's not much of regret and more of an observation. At the end of the day, it's an artistic choice, too and one that I find worthy of respect. ...Mostly because I really like this arrangement XD

Anyway, that's all for me! See you with your next release, m'dear! I really hope I won't miss it. Ta-taaaa♪
