Reviews for "Evil-Dog - World of Legends (Cover)"

A little drumroll with them toms maybe? Like military style? I feel this could reach its full potential if you really squeeze the quality outta each instrument to its maximum... However this is not a bad project at all. Good stuff!

Hey the air conditioning is very good, and the quality equally, it continues like this :3

Definitely still holds those Dark Fantasy RPG title screen vibes the original had, but you did a good job of getting away from some of the monotony the original slips into by the midpoint.

Kinda sad I didn't get to hear the later drumline section get reworked, but you seem to have a more ambient vision for the remix, and I can respect that.

Kysertron responds:

I could not get the end drumline to work out for me, so that was a sad thing for me. :(
Also, I did take a more ambient approach, although it was a bit difficult with the beginning.

This is a pretty true form of the original. I personally think I prefer your instrumentation over the original... it doesn't sound so abrupt and harsh and synthetic sounding.

The mastering on this is quite low, and not sure if you meant for it to sound like this, but it doesn't give the prestige of this track justice and honestly doesn't hold my interest for very long. A track like this needs to have command presence and not just blend into the background.

This is a pretty minimal track with very little going on, and with that you need to make each sound grab the listener and carry them through the rest of the track. This composition is quite predictable and sort of unoriginal, so it doesn't really carry the same magnitude as the original.

It's not a bad remix, but it seems lacking in making it your own remix.

Overall 3.5/5

Of all the Evil Dog songs, why the one that isn't punk?! Jokes aside, this is an interesting take on an already interesting song. I like the original.

I felt myself getting bored with this remix though. It lost the dynamic flow the original has and seems to just go on the same note for all its 5 minutes. I was expecting a modernization of sounds as well but the samples were also pretty weak.

Nevertheless, I respect the effort.
