I think if I first heard this song in isolation, it would be a solid 4. A cute accoustic piece about coming home after a long journey. But I've been playing the Epic Battle Fantasy games since I was a kid, so getting to where this song plays in 5, realizing whats going on in that moment, and reading all the dialogue, then immediately going into the final boss afterwards hit like me like a train, man. Then I decided to listen to the song on its own and really digest the lyrics, and let myself think about what my long journey has been.

A friend recommended me to play EBF. We were talking about the Epic Battle Fantasy 5 soundtrack and we got into a debate about what the lyrics mean. In the end we couldn't agree on our theories, so I decided to ask you here (if you'll answer xD)
Was your lyrics intended to have a metaphorical message that symbolises something related to the EBF5 story?
I hope you can answer this question we have. Of all the songs we listen to, this is one that we love to listen to every day. The work you put into this song is to be admired :)

The lyrics were prompted by Phyrnna, actually, and they were meant to show a hero's journey home after a long, long exploration -- that no matter how far one goes, one can never really lose sight of home. The connection may have been intended by the dev team, but I was not privy to it. I didn't know the story, not when I was writing those lyrics.

This...song...it brings me back...to when I was younger...playing the flash versions of EBF. It doesn't matter which one it is, it just...reminds me of that...and reminds me of...well...ebf5...and that I was trying to find a way to finish it, yet cant. BUT WHO CARES? THE SONGS IN EBF5 AND PHYRNNA'S WORKS ARE AMAZING!
