A remake would be a better name, BUT THIS IS A VERY GOOD SONG, how about remaking the entire song?

Well, remix implies pieces of a song are cut recreated and put back together. Hence the MIX in reMIX. A remake would be if I took the whole song, and changed up some instruments as well as making it sound better. Songs are called remixes because they are mixing the content in a different way.
