Clean and straightforward, plus a good simple soundtrack that's works for long sessions without it feeling too repetitive. Only problem is just one that almost all "control multiple things at once" games face, and it's that nothing about the units convey which control input they require, meaning the player has to constantly just learn to associate arrows with one face and WASD with the other.

Other than that, the only quibble is without analog sticks, there's a few too many moments that really make you thread the needle between tether breakers, and trying to move one unit diagonally at anything but 45 degree angles just isn't happening. I feel like this game and control concept is a fantastic one for phone/touch screen, and a really awful one for keyboard or controllers with a pad/analog stick combo.

Longer reviews like this I greatly appreciate, especially if they do have valid criticisms. I could blame time constraints for most problems, not very much can be done in the two days time I had to make the game (and I don't plan on updating after the fact, though I may eventually choose to make a sequel).

I tried to ensure that there would always be a way to complete goals by going around the hazards rather than through them, but the random nature of the game sometimes messes that up. A sequel would either have more refined procedural generation or just hand crafted levels.

Also you should be able to use both analog sticks on a controller for full 360 degree movement for both characters. Never considered touch controls, might experiment with that for a potential sequel.

Top ten people should get something cool.
