The waltz rhythm is way too heavy, to the point of it really dominating the piece rhythmically. Meanwhile the melody and harmony are both fairly predictable. Compositionally you're following all the rules, but I think that's what ultimately brings this piece down - it's not adventurous at all and sounds more like classical music tropes than classical music.

The intro to this track is great, and instantly says "soundtrack" to me. Brilliant and mysterious atmosphere. The progression is nice too. I think you used the instruments well, and the melodies work perfectly with them. I think the piece overall is a bit on the quieter side, maybe because of the reverb, but that's fine since the volume can be increased on the listener's end. It's also a piece that puts a lot of focus on the intricacies, which requires rich dynamics :)
