Reviews for "Nova Mortuus"

it should have more downlads

This is a great piece, maybe if the name was a bit more 'look at me this is a great song' like hyperdestructive , it may have received more downloads. Or maybe if it were put into the techno category.

Pretty Good Job!

Pretty good job man! i think ur better at techno and trance! but its a good first at D&B!

I have a real DnB song in the works. This one I would classify more as techno and looking back, I should have submitted it in the techno genre. But anyways, we'll see how my real DnB turns out!

It's 2:30 at night...

And here I am, listening to your music.

Your first jump into DnB, eh? Drums / percussion have defenitly improved. Now if only we heard more of this in your techno set, and we'd have a real masterpiece.

Nonetheless, the song sounds really nice, at least to me. IMO, the song is a little too frantic and fast paced to be showing the remains of a Nova (trust me, I've had a fascination with Novae and Supernovae since I was like 10).

I'm sure you've already heard it, but Karco also has a song called Nova, and another representing the "aftermath" of said Nova.

I really like the motercycle-esque sound used throughout. The piano itself is beutiful too. As said though, the rest of the song's fast paced-ness kind of cancels it out, while at the same time making it sound pretty good as well.

...INCREDIBLE...

...YOU Felt It Reminded You Of The
"Remnants Of A NOVA ",
I Can Feel It In This Piece.
Another Reviewer Believed The Track Had A
'FRANTIC' Feel To It ---
So Do I, However I Feel It Fits With The Concept:
A Gamut Of Emotions All Running Rampant Until Reaching The Lethal Point, Setting In Motion The Explosive End & The Scattering Of Its
Fragments & Shards Into The Universe...
The Track Had The Energy I Would Expect From Such A Concept.
Perhaps You Might Create An Animated Flash That Would Synch With The Track And Give Those Who Can't 'See' It A Visual Aid.

NightHawk22 responds:

haha, thanks man, just how i had visualized it. I like the idea of the flash, but I have no experience in the field. If you could do it maybe? Or if you know who can do it for me? Because I’ve never done flash animation before. Thanks again for the review,

frantic...

first off, this doesn't really seem like a drum and bass song to me, but you said to ignore that.
so i will.

the song is frantic, that's pretty apparent from the onset. i didn't really like the very beginning, before the beat kicks in, but its short and therefore forgivable. it was too loud, and sounded sorta random. the beat was hectic, loud, and frantic. the layers of synths that you piled on to the song only furthered that sense of somewhat-crazyness.
the main problem i had with the track is that the fact that it was very crazy sounded led to it to seem unorganized at parts and downright random at worst. the song didn't really seem to be going anywhere, it was just exploding in noise here and there. constantly changing sounds, all very, very loud, and the fast beats and pads sorta made it so the song doesn't have the ability to stay in my head, even after i've listen to it multiple times.

still, it is very good at times, and very fast paced and frantic all the time, so if that's what you were going for, good job. despite the problems i have with it, its certainly a good or even very good track. so sorry if this review seems overly negative, because it shouldn't really be.

anyways, if you get the time, could you stop by my audio page and review my newest track, "As the Ocean Retreats"? i'd really appreciate it, thanks.
