Art needs work...

It's a decent enough tribute to the game, I suppose. I gotta be realistic here: The art's not great and the animation slow and jerky. Plus, if this were a tribute to the SH games, shouldn't you showcase all the freaks that were in there? The monster trying to fight its way out of the sack is nice, but to someone who's never played SH, it would only come off as funny and more than a little pathetic. Still, you shouldn't blam people for decently trying, but this deserves average marks at best.

One question though; I've heard some music from the latest SH game (3). I think it may be a revamped version of 'Theme of Laura', save in this case the heroine is a girl named Heather. 'Theme of Laura Remix: Heather's Theme?' Heh heh...

Okay, okay, yeah I know the art and animation aren't that good. I didn't show all the freaks because this was only partially done, there is supposed to be a 2nd half. I was only showing a preview here with this so I could get some feedback. Seems like I've got A LOT of touching up to do if I'm going to send in the finished version. Maybe I'll just scrap the characters that I drew, and make goofy, cartoonish characters instead, which are easier to animate (like my stupid Horace or Lepo characters). Or better yet, how about a stick Silent Hill? LOL
About SH3, I haven't kept up with the news on that, I just know it's with a girl character and some long armed demon...I'd rather just wait til it comes out to play it and see for myself what it is.

I wanted to like it...

But it just doesn't work for me. I think the concept of a SH2 music video is a good one, but it needs to be done properly. You just need to improve your skills. Drawing needs work, James isn't a hunchback after all. Animation was really bad, sorry. The music wasn't too bad but since so much of the game is without music, you're gonna have a real hard time finding a song that really matches up well. Keep trying, the idea is sound, most important thing to work on is your drawing skills.

You're a little harsh. A 2? You gave Alpha Hypnotic a total review score of 3(higher than a 2) and graphics of 5, and all it was, was a spinning blurry polygon. Ya I know that it's not the greatest art and animation, but at least I tried. Drawing people is harder than it looks, you should try it someday. And animating something that isn't sticks, isn't easy either.

Disturbing

The graphics were cheaply done, the characters looked pretty bad, but I've seen worse. I didn't bother watching the entire video because of they way you decided to start it off. Terrible sound effects, terrible blood animations, terrible fucking idea. I was disturbed by this video.

Okay so I tried to draw the characters on my own with a mouse. Maybe I should do trace over drawings so they are perfect? J/K. If the animation was so bad, then could you give me some constructive advice on how to make it better instead of just saying it was terrible. Terrible idea?? So it's okay for there to be Resident Evil flashes, but not Silent Hill flashes? Geez, why the fuck are you clock lovers such mean reviewers to everyone else except clock movies. Ya, don't think I don't know when you "VOTE FIFEN" on all clock movies and talk shit on any other hard working animator who tries.

great start!

I really enjoyed that! My favourite part was when James looked into the mirror, that part especially was really well done! This is a really good start, and you chose a great song! I think my best advice would be to make sure ur "walking creature" movie clips move at a steady pace so it doesnt look like they are gliding, or doing a moonwalk! hehe! But it was great, I only advise you to add more shadows, because in my opinion, one of the things that gave silent hill that true feeling of foreboding was the constant shadows, so I think you should increase the darkness of your motion tweens or add in more layers of shadows, anyway great start, I'll be watching for the second part!
