Reviews for "Headphone Heaven - Please (Won't You Help Me)"

Hey man, I just want to say firsthand that it was very brave of you to post this track on Newgrounds. It probably was very hard for you to do and I give you mad props for that. I would also like to thank you for making this soundtrack because I am going through the same thing right now. All of my stress kept building with finals at school and numerous other personal things and i just wanted to give up. I then found your song and immediately felt a connection with it. I probably listened to this song 30+ times because I really could relate to you and the song that you made. I am new to Newgrounds and came from geometry dash. I decided to check out the website to try and cool off and wouldn't you know it, your song was right there under the "Brand Spankin' New Audio" page. I listened to your song and loved it and I even made a Newgrounds account just to post this comment and to follow you. I checked out some of your other songs and they are just amazing. Here is my opinion on the song: The song overall was amazing, the ambiance combined with the rain and bottles clinking in the background made a 2 for 2 combination. The rhythm and the ticking in the background also went really well together. This is a great song for chilling and studying an other quite things. Overall you are a great guy that makes great music and it seems that you love what you're doing. Keep making awesome music and keep doing what you love. If you see this at all HeadphoneHeaven send me a private message if you want to.

It really means the world to me to know one of my songs impacted someone so much! This may be one of my favorite comments I've ever received! It's people like you who keep me doing what I do even when things look bleak :) Thank you!

I like the relaxed intro and instruments. The synth at :13 sounds especially tranquil and smooth. The progression here is really slow, though. I don't think the transition at :41 helped much, either. The glissando there kinda just wrecked the flow without leading into anything climactic. The drums are nice, but the first really meaningful addition to the texture after :41 is definitely that wobbly synth at 1:23. Nice work with the automations there. The rest of the piece is quite repetitive, though. Overall, I think you nailed the atmosphere and mood, but the composition is a bit lacking. The way you add and subtract instruments every 4 measures feels a bit formulaic after a time, and overall the progression just gets a little stale. I think you need some dynamic changes within phrases, more automation, and one really climactic section to hit the piece home. Overall, though, nice piece for some easy listening. :)
