This is very well crafted, I love!
My only three complaints are:
1) The dialogue is severed strangely, usually cutting off in the middle of sentences or during the last word, whilst also being slightly unreadable sometimes.
2) The default place of the shield is personally uncomfortable, and could easily be C, right next to the Z and X buttons.
3) The shop is clunky. There's no way to see your current cash, and the dialogue of the shopkeeper should only appear once you've selected it, not whilst hovering over it. Just the name of the product is fine with an obvious subtext and just a singular confirm purchase button line of text.
I believe that the first and third problems could very easily be fixed by the final release. This game has great promise and a great story! Mia is also very adorable!
Pretty fun game! Good mechanics, good platforming. A couple issues I have with it are the kill animations, why can't I just tap z? The repetitive combat, nothing changes. But aside from that, great platforming, dialogue was pretty funny, and the art is great!
