Reviews for "Fox's Tale"

great job!

FatCatGameStudio responds:

Thank you! must do it fast, is just an example for my students and have no much time to polish it as I wish.
If you want you can get the code here https://github.com/BurningAl15/Platformer2d

The art's good, but maybe add the up arrow as a jump key, and make you able to jump higher?

I thought this was great! It was a nice quick little playthrough. I personally thought the controls were perfect. There wasn't too much sliding that made me complain about it. There's more slide in big time games like Mario and Sonic. The added double jump made it forgiving. I also thought the graphics were well done. Not AMAZING, but very good. You could maybe add more polish and different animations.

Some small things that you could probably fix:
1. After level 1, I was collecting more starts than you said were in the level (In Level 6 I FOUND: 37 but IN LEVEL: 30, etc.)
2. Also, that boss would NOT have been beatable if he didn't keep his damage after dying. I would either make the boss a little easier when he's near death, or make some way to shield yourself. It's nice that I was able to win with the checkpoint right there. Just made it feel like a cheap win ya know?

Either way, I had fun playing. Thanks for making it!

FatCatGameStudio responds:

Thank you man, asap as possible I'll improve the details.
It's just a little demo but will work on it to have a better game, really happy to know that you liked it!

original review:copy and paste from the unity microgame, a few small tweaks.

amended review: while I'm not going to go through and make sure its not carbon copy, ill take the devs word! with that in mind, its a decent game.

FatCatGameStudio responds:

Actually not, never used the unity microgame stuff, you can check the code here https://github.com/BurningAl15/Platformer2d

The artwork is pristine and the music is good. I think that the only problem is that the floors a BIT slippery...
