Ooh, cool character introductions! The taller, less cute (but still appealing) designs feel like a serious TV show or something. The atmosphere is delicious, and the interesting cuts and character zoom-ins feel like a James Bond or Cowboy Bebop opening.
Two larger scale qualms: It repeats the boyfriend silhouette rapping (though that actually works surprisingly well), and why does it zoom in on GF's boobs?
I can't call the art complex, but it fits: coloring in the characters would take away from the theme, and making the background busy would draw the viewers away. You also somehow managed to fit in all the characters while keeping it very coherent! The single shots of other characters feels like a break from or bridge between the slow pans onto central ones. We get shots of the main characters, a look at the entourage, and then we go back to introduce the dad and get more cool, slow shots.
When there is character animation, it gets enough frames to make the slow motions and the BF silohouette rapping look pretty good. Faster motions make excellent use of blur. I feel like GF's leg swing, though, could have used some motion from her upper body as she adjusts her weight, but that is a nitpick.
I love Pico's design, expression, and everything about his scenes!
Oh, and everything fits with the beats and feel of the music very well!
Rating: Lovely!
