Cool game ideia but, level 3 is like impossible, miss jump inpunts in the edge of block, the small place to you jump and pick the ruby, you can get in the hole but to get again, is much hard, cool game ideia but this level 3 is much hard.

@stinkbug to pass the level where the spikes are on the roof, you are supposed to slam before you hit the top of the screen, and that's how you beat that level

Half my deaths are from lost jump inputs when near to an edge.
Very frustrating.
First, let me say I love the work you put into constructing this awesomely hard platformer. The backgrounds are dizzying and groovy, music is quirky and punchy. The overall gameplay is well programmed. Levels 1 and 2 are excellent tutorial levels and quite make great points of illustrating the game mechanics. Until Level 3, that is. Wow! Holy INSANE spikeland. I like this level although it is the final level for me, sadly. I managed to do the left side of the level after many attempts to get the jumping and bouncing on the little sacrificial helper guy just right and making it to the nonspiky pit. Okay, then progressing to the right side of the level is problematic or maybe I just don't like getting my head repeatedly spiked. Ha! It's quite brutal! I cannot figure this one out, and I can only imagine what torture the succeeding levels will bring.
But having said all of that, I DO like what you've got here. And I will check out your games in the future. And nice touch with the medals! Cheers!

Thanks for the very kind words! I know the difficulty spike is very sudden, but I preferred to go all in on difficulty so people knew as soon as possible that this would not be a breeze. I will be making a walkthrough some time soon to give people a little extra hand. Hopefully you'll give it another try in the future and beat it.

......also the spikes sometimes get duplicated in weird places after a death
