Reviews for "Feral : Escape"

That was total crap

Serious, wtf? You took sprites from a game... and then you double rape it by making crappy motion tweens? 0/5 You did nothing

Kojirou responds:

I don't think you understand the work that went into this. The only place I even used tweens was to teleportations and the cresits becuase it would look smoother than my moving them by myself frame-by-frame. Everything I did do that way. Nearly 400 sprites and 1200 frames. I didn't just take a few sprites, slap them together and call it a movie. I created a story, found a way to tell that story and spent neary two weeks "Directing" my sprite "Actors" on stage. If I could do my own animations I would. But imo better to use sprites than stick figures.

Not bad....

This was pretty cool, the only problem was the limitations of the actions from the fight scenes (apart from the end). The background music suited it, but sound effect would of been nice, overall it was good.

Kojirou responds:

Yeah, the lack of sound fx bothered me a bit but I couldn't find any that fit. So I figured better to let the music carry it than to use crappy sound fx that would take away from it. As for limitations, that's a side effect from using sprites. Hopefully in the future I can move away form that and make more dynamic moves with orginal graphics.

way cool

I liked it.

Clean

That movie was pretty clean and well put together.

Good, but...

I had to give you a lower score because the graphics were ripped from something that has nothing to do with the story.

The fight scenes were great, and the megaman thing has its charm (especially since I love almost all things megaman), but I'd love to see this with original artwork and diferent "camera angles" and such. The story is very cool, by the way. That's where you get the most props from me. That and the fact that your music selection was excellent. Muse rocks, and citizen erased fits quite well, especially given the theme of the movie.

Kojirou responds:

Well, not quite *nothing* to do with the story, since these people have all been enhanced with Reploid parts but yeah... Hopefully soon I will have orginal graphics, possibly even 3d models. *Crosses fingers*

The story came first and I already had all three parts completed on paper before I even decided to use sprites, I like to think the story is my strong suit and hopefully I'll soon be able to match my stories with my art.

As for the music, I've gotta give credit to Qjedi for choosing the song. He took the time to watch the movie and choose several songs that fit, then gave me his suggestions and let me make the final decision.
