Reviews for "Horace Ep.2: Razor Blades"

heh

As good as episode 1 was. I liked the idea, it was nice that you paid a tribute to "Tales". The one problem I had was that the sound effects for the dog were the same the entire time he (or she) was with Horace. Besides that, it was neat. Great job!

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks RyanAn, glad you liked it.

i've seen it

the guy your talking about is the manager for a home for the blind. and he treats the people there like crap so they trick him. in the end they get some dogs to chase him through the tunnel into a room and eat him. then the movie ends with some guys standing over a chick who is sliced in half by a swinging pendulem

Violet-AIM responds:

lol, finally someone who has seen it. That's right, that guy did treat those people like crap, so they built that trap for him. I remembered the guy having trouble going through the hallway of razor blades, and when he finally gets across, he hears the barking, so then he immediately turns around and starts to go back to through hallway of razor blades. Since it's so narrow and he has to go slowly, he didn't manage to make it all the way through when the dog gets him. They show a black screen with a guy screaming, so you don't actually see what happens, it's left to the imagination. I remember the ending where after the evil monk finishes telling all the people the bad deeds they did with their lives and showing them the stories as part of their punishment, they are all thrown into a pit of fire, like they are in hell.

damn

this was a really great idea. the plot was awesome. good work!

Violet-AIM responds:

I'm glad you liked the plot. I know that a few people didn't really care much for it. Just a matter of taste I guess.

Liked the movie

Great concept (even if you didnt exactly make it up yourself). The animation, and sound effects were well chosen and suited the movie. I'm definately going to go watch episode 1 now. Great work and I hope there are more coming.

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for the nice review. Glad you liked it. Yes, there will be more of Horace to come.

Poor Horace ...

Horace didn't make it this time either :(

Overall, it's not bad but I liked ep1 better.

I didn't read your "Author's comments" and at first I didn't know how he got into the hallway. Maybe, mention that before the movie starts - in the movie.

The dog growling was good at first but the images didn't convey a menacing dog. Also, it seemed to walk after Horace but running/chasing might be more appropriate. Looping the dog growling didn't work for me either. I liked in ep1 that a pigeon eye showed up with the pigeon cooing (is that the right word?).

About Tuti TV: graphics are 75% done but my brother has been busy so we couldn't work on the dialogue and voice recording.

Violet-AIM responds:

Thanks for the constructive criticism. He was in the hallway because he was left there by someone who didn't like him. Someone had built a maze or trap for him to die there. I looped the dog growling cause I couldn't find a decent angry dog barking sound effect. I get most of my sound effects on the net and sometimes it's hard to find exactly the right thing. I was lucky to even find that one pigeon cooing sound for the previous episode. Hope to see your tutitv soon when it's done.
