Definitely a pretty unique clone of brickbreaker, but a lot of decisions here left me scratching my head. For example, there are many blocks that you have to hit twice to break. These most of the time leave you having to do multiple hits just to break 1 block. Another confusing choice made here was to have the drill be oftentimes excruciatingly slow. This combined with the many bricks that you have to hit multiple times to break or that you can't break at all will leave you with many moments where you go up to almost a minute without any real action. The worst levels are easily the ones where you have to break the minerals, as aiming at specific blocks is made basically impossible without the assistance of a powerup or just an insanely good stroke of luck. This is due to the completely random direction that the drill goes in. Sometimes it will randomly break 20 blocks at once, other times it will hit a wall once and just bounce back up at you. The levels are very repetitive, basically all repeats of the same 2 or 3 level structures with a random layout and objective. The music's pretty good, and the art looks good even if it is a bit amateurish. (god, saying that makes me feel like such a dick) And for all the complaints about the game's really weird programming, the gameplay could certainly be a lot worse. Defnitely good for an amateur effort, and maybe I'd like it more if I played the custom levels or multiplayer, but after trudging through adventure mode I honestly just felt like playing brickbreaker. 4/10.
