Reviews for "SUPER IZZY"

Man, I really want to like this game, but at the moment, it's simply too janky and glitchy for me to have a good experience with it. The game does seem to have a lot of potential: I love the coop nature of the game, switching between the two characters and using their respective powers to solve puzzles or do cool team-up attacks and such, and I love that there are some neat bosses with multiple moves and phases to battle through. However, it was just confusing to play. I couldn't figure out how the buttons and moves for the characters work: for example despite the dog not having a wall clutch animation (a glitchy wall clutch animation) like the mouse, he can still wall jump off of his nose or something? Boss fights would just devolve into a weird mish-mash of objects appearing and disappearing, animations glitching and not looping properly, attacking and damage just happening with no reason or feedback, and many times it would look like the boss would die despite it being my health that was depleted, only for it to wait for a few awkward seconds until it respawns me and I have to do the fight again. I think there is some neat stuff in here somewhere but at the moment, it's just lost in a raw, undercooked mish-mash of weirdness. If you can fix this up, I'd love to see a remastered version of it!

nice

So adorable!!!

This was both fun and weird but i feel it needs more of a few things.
The art choice and the characters movements are good and all, is charming and easy to understand, i even liked a lot how going near the house makes it move for you to jump in it, but after that, watching the strange photoshoped creature at the realistic loking Guinea Pig level was bizarre, and even more the water level after it, i didnt knew where to go or what to do to go out of the water, i ended stuck there and only diying and going back to the other screen saved me.
The first level is good, but i also feel that its important to say InGame tha you can wall jump, maybe i lost it, but i didnt saw it anywhere, the boss battle was interesting and not really stressful, i also love the voice acting.
Overall i can see the passion put into this, i can see it has great ideas with the use of 2 characters, but it definetly needs more polishing

Thank you I will have to keep this in mind for the next game.

I think the game has potential with its art and little premise but the mechanics could use some work. First example, the platforms were a bit off. The snakes would be floating over an empty space next to the platform when it was chasing the mouse character I was playing so I couldn't really avoid getting hit if I accidentally went off the platform and wanted to jump back on. Another issue is that I couldn't get past the frog at the end of the first level. Are you supposed to fight it? There's no explanation about fighting monsters.

scottwjsm responds:

Thanks. Press S for Robby's attack. Izzy has a dash that hurts enemies when there are 5 points from the food and both characters have a slash when you press D and 10 points.
