Reviews for "Elemental Tiles"

I had a fun playing your game. I played until Level 17 (probably will keep playing). It's like sokoban but with special powers! The music was very catchy, and kept me playing. You did a good job with teaching the player how each power works.

Some feedback:

When beginning a new levels, sometimes it's hard to tell where the player starts, since the color contrast between the player and the background texture isn't very contrasting. Maybe highlighting the starting point with an arrow, or some kind of a pointer for a brief moment may help.

At first, I wasn't sure if the edge of the screen was a barrier. (Turns out it is.) Wondering if it was intentional to not use an outer wall. If so, why?

Thanks for sharing your game!

good game

While some puzzles were kinda cool, this was overall incredibly monotonos. Pushing block puzzles got old really fast, and levels were incredibly repetitive. I wasn't bored out of my damn mind only around the first & last couple of levels. Part of this was because there was little to no aesthetical variety. The player character, no matter what Elemental Tile it last stood on, was always a circle with an expression that left shrinking circles wherever it walked. It would've been a lot more exciting to see a new element if the player character changed more than their color/expression. Furthermore, every level took place in the same damn room, only with a different layout. Your use of walls ONLY as boundaries was also jarring. It created a lot of negative space, and gave me the impression you were sick of this game by the time you got to the level design. Another part of my boredom was because there was soooo much backtracking, oh my god, it was horrible. A lot of levels required a lot of unnecessary running to and fro. Moving on, you could've done a lot more with each element instead of just "this one affects a tile differently," honestly. For example, hazards corresponding to each element would've been cool! I dunno, I'm just spitballing. The Earth & Fire Tiles were the most interesting by far, but that's really only because they both had 2 uses instead of the Ice & Wind's 1. At least the overall concept, music, and a couple of the levels were solid.

Great puzzle game! The pacing is great besides the difficulty spikes that sometimes happens once in a blue moon.

this is a close copy of hp atk def gg tho
