A sour candy with a fabulous wrapper.
A kinda meh game in an endless runner genre. Obviously, most of the developer's time was taken by making the presentation stand out: the game has some good graphics for a pixel art, okay (but maybe a tad bit uninspired) voice acting and music and various little tidbits here and there that show at at least some level of polish was put in that regard. Though the artstyle itself may be a bit boring and not as standing out.
The gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. For starters, it's somewhat hard to make a decent temple runner by itself, and this one is as barebones as it gets. There's little to no variety in enemies, no progression and no incentive to play it after two or three times. The dodge in this is also very busted, for it's almost as quick as your attack, but effectively does the same job, and also allows you to pass through lasers. Because it's nigh impossible to dodge at later stages, my strategy was ultimately just pushing the dodge button after noticing an object of any kind in the corner of my eye (and it's actually easier and more lenient to pass through at later stages, because of the speed), so i could go on almost indefinitely.
Overall, a very forgettable game. Kinda surprising that this was made in a whole month. Hope that this will be used as a blueprint for some kind of an expanded game with a more interesting idea. 5/10.
