Reviews for "Orla's Ear Worm"

love how the form of the world bends to the will of the animation, sorta amorphous, like the best thing a cartoon can do. Love the creatures, action, blood. Just gets better

AntonM responds:

Thanks man, glad u liked it :))

Absolutely fantastic job, dude! I subscribe to every word by @Tyrekus. I love how it was spooky and gory without being outright dark or abandoning certain lightheartedness. The girl's reactions throughout the short, scared and dragged to this as if it's a duty (and not an enjoyable one at that) for which she does her best, really rounded up the story for me. The two little jokes at the end are a great way of ending this on a lighter note. And your use of angles as well as those spastic movements are a treat to the eyes. I'd love to see more of these characters and their fight against those insects, or how everything came to be as it is, or a sequel.. or anything, really. Faved!

My only "complaint" would be that I don't really understand why the supermosquito got drowsy or weakened. Was it just the hit with the lawnmower? Was there something wrong with the meat? Because up to that point he seemed to have the upper hand. Anyways...

You never disappoint, man. Keep up the great work. Happy (and spooky) Halloween to you too!

AntonM responds:

Thank u so much dude!!! Yeah i shoulda made that bit a little clearer, there are little blood bubbles above it's head on that roof shot, he was a little too blood-drunk

I love your artstyle! Is this going to be an ongoing series or a one-off? I love it either way!

AntonM responds:

Thank ya, yeah i can see more Orla toons someday, not anytime soon tho :)

This is so stylish I love it!!!!

AntonM responds:

thanks!

Really neat! I liked how their story progresses from her having a slightly annoying parasite to a strange ally in her fight against killer insects. The worm sounds are funny and keep the movie light hearted despite the mild gore. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Happy Halloween AntonM!

AntonM responds:

Happy Halloween :)))))
