Reviews for "Deadswitch 3"

this is just a amazing game my words can not even explain it

Overall amazing game (currently at Prestige 2) as expected from Wilkin Games... but over the past week or so I've found I have a few minor complaints.

1. What's with the scoreboards? Today I spent two hours in Undead Survival on Estate getting 2,335 points. My game logged the score as saved to my personal scores, but didn't register on the overall board. The same thing happened a while ago (in a game with XWilkinX, no less) where I beat my old score and it just didn't register. The weirdest part is that the game is definitely capable of keeping track of it, according to my well-updated Ranked stats page... so why not the online scoreboards?

2. The game plays very slowly in private matches, operations, and solo survival. The reload animations are off, weapon fire rates are low, knife delays are long... I went and played a few Multiplayer matches to check, and it only happens in solo, so is there a particular reason? Or is my computer just awful?

3. I think Prestige should have tangible rewards, like in Tactical Weapon Pack 2 where entering Prestige unlocked eight new weapons. Maybe even just unique character options? Otherwise, it just feels like voluntarily resetting your Ranked progress and re-locking that HAMR you barely had time to level up.

On that note, I'd also like to offer three compliments to counter those above.

1. The Multiplayer is a MASSIVE step up from the earlier Deadswitch games, putting it in the same league as (and, in my opinion, ahead of) games like Strike Force Heroes and Raze. Spawns and AI bots are vastly improved, the killstreak system is fun and functional, the maps are much better, and the weapons and perks feel pretty balanced.

2. Character customization is another huge leap from the first two games. Most of it I could probably credit to having six unique factions instead of just "good guys" and "bad guys" but the huge amount of options are fun, even if a lot of them are locked behind the paid edition.

3. Updates. Although I'll admit I didn't notice a lot of the changes, it's nice to see a game like this getting a lot of support, because it clearly deserves it.

Overall 5/5 amazing work.

P.S. Reaper drones are the key to high Survival scores. They were paying for themselves through Round 30+, and killing faster than anything save for the Deadswitch. Just don't get shot down. They're pretty fragile.

Edit: Slowness in local matches resolved around update 1.4.1 and really enjoying the well-balanced Prestige weapons. Can't wait for it to come out on Steam! And a suggestion: bring back the VS-38 sniper from Deadswitch 2 pls?

WilkinGames responds:

Thanks so much for the review!

I'll look into the leaderboards issue, but make sure you're connected to the Newgrounds API (check settings to verify and reconnect if needed). If the game seems slower when you're playing solo (locally), it might be your PC since the game logic is running client-side. When playing multiplayer the game logic runs server-side. When the reload animations/time don't match up, it's almost always due to low FPS/performance. New weapons, killstreaks, and vehicles are also coming in future updates.

Feel free to send me a message and I can help troubleshoot any other issues you may have!

I haven't even played it that much and I can tell it's gonna be a 5/5 well done

Jessus... So hard

Loved the game, my dude.
Reminds me a lot of SFH but way more balanced (Except Juggernauts, fuck those are scary lol)
You did an amazing job. Congrats!

WilkinGames responds:

Thanks man! Glad you enjoy it!
