Reviews for "I Need A Hero"

So I see this is where Jo gets his amazing music from...keep up the good work man.

ADR3-N responds:

Well, to be fair not all of it -- still got some commissions left to work on. Thanks for the review!

Note, I'm doing 2 for 1 R4R all week, so for every review you give, I'll give you 2 back! Doesn't matter if you don't have any content. PM me your favorites :P

Both guitar and bass are pretty on point. Bass seems a bit too loud at times, and guitar gets a bit tinny in some spots.

Drums are the only lack in here, not sure if it's the mixing or just the samples/VST's used but it doesn't really cut through the mix. I've seen it in previous songs of yours too.

Composition/arragement wise, top notch as always!

So I'll take a sec and drop you a recommendation: https://theproaudiofiles.com/free-mastering-plugins/

You've got some pretty nifty mastering plugins you could give a look at there. I'm a fan of the Voxengo SPAN (but all Voxengo tools are awesome). Give them a look!

ADR3-N responds:

Yo, thanks for the link. Always appreciate free stuff. :P

And yeah, you're spot on. Part of the issue is adjusting to totally new software. The other half was that I mixed this on a trash set of 10 dollar headphones after my other better 10 dollar headphones broke. Now I have studio monitors, and the difference is, well, a whole other world, haha. Thanks for the review! I'll get hit ya with that R4R real quick. :)

Truly a good entry. However, I can't help but feel like there's that one thing missing that could've made this track just that much better. It doesn't ruin it for me, it's still really good, but makes it just shy of getting the 5 stars.

ADR3-N responds:

Probably the mixing. I really need to get on those levels some time. Listened to this on my monitors and cringed.

driving bass line guitar riffage its all pretty awesome altho i thought that bass was alil overthe top on the mixing side for metal but it could be my setup as i mainly listen to hip hop so the bass on my shit is cranked!i like the song !

ADR3-N responds:

That might be it. The levels I have most everything cranked to are about what you'd hear in a live show. I prefer that to not being able to hear the bass at all. :P Thanks for the review!

Hello !

The rhythmic guitar sounds nice. But the lead guitar is very loud and "agressive'' ! Maybe you can try to cut or reduce some high frequencies ? And also to work with the pan to add more "space" to your track !

ADR3-N responds:

Thanks! I'll make note of that. Still having a bit of trouble with my setup, but thank you, thank you, thank you!
