can't go anywhere but the south market and "home". I'm sure that on previous versions there some 2 entire planets beside the first avaiable, so I'm not bombing the game as bad, though I have no idea what could be the problem here

this is unfortunately a returning issue - it's not the first time it has come up, and I'm struggling to really fix it: my best suggestion for now is to start the game over, and make sure to hit new game rather than continue. I'm fairly sure the autosave function is the root of the issue x.x
how do you make money?

On the planet you start at you can work at the foodtrucks, on the second and third planets there are brothels you can get a job at - though you may need to be particularly horny when visiting in order to get the option)
There are other places you can work as well, but those three are the most straight forward^^
