Humans are a horrible species. It seems we are the counterthesis to the "hive-mind" that some species evolved. And that even seems to be our own view. Whatever we as a species and as individuals [deserve] is a seperate philosophical question. But it is clear that our extinction would be directly caused by us, with that beeing arguably the thing that just needed to happen.
