Reviews for "Slappy the Pig Boy"

Wow some actual art for a change.

Apparently some people can't appreciate the art of photography and photo manipulation. That is obviously what this movie is showcasing. It's very professional quality photography.
I guess some of you "doods" only like immature flash movies. I think Slappy is pretty cool.
It's refreshing to see an imagination that goes further than stick figures and videogame characters once and a while.

Dude this can go to hell

This sucked man draw something instead of showing gay pictures of some stupid ass pig boy man this just sucked.I mean pig boy come on who cares if he is along and if he is a freak it's called plasticsurgery if i walked by and he looked at me i would throw rocks at his windows and throw fire bombs inside hahaha that who look sos funny that damb fucker better kill himself.

Slappy rox! This is one of the weirdest, most stylized little flash movies I've seen lately. What a creepy old house! Does someone actually live there? What are they like? Where is this place? Love that the music isn't "typical" rock crap too. There's so much of that on other flashmovies whose makers try so hard to emulate rock videos. Slappy's unusual, better. I like it for it's minimalism, too. I would definitely get the creeps if Slappy was watching me while I walked by. Is he for real?

weaker than weak

bad and lame.

Awesome visuals with melodic power: DON'T MISS IT!

If you want a great introduction to the visual genius of filmmaker Ranxx Caliber, look no further than this brilliant short, Slappy the Pigboy.
In addition to having an astoundingly cool soundtrack-- by musicians drawn from the cult band Dipsy Slash and the Sound Doctors of Salt Lake City -- Slappy the Pigboy creates its own kind of visual language, one that speaks subtly and subliminally to the backside of our brain. We're given a hint of Slappy's tortured background, then witness the world for outside Slappy's world. The beautiful montage of sepia-toned stills, pan-and-scan sequences and animation seems to tell us more, with a slow-building effect of both magnifying and seeming to "explain" the mystery of why Slappy is so reclusive and what happened to his career.
At the climax of this film, the sensations combine, and we realize that we simultaneously "know" what happened and are still completely shrouded in the mystery of Slappy. I, for one, consider it the mark of great art when it has this ability to speak subliminally to me, as it were, slipping somehow into the recesses of my brain.
Combined all this visual power with the experimental rhythms and melodic beauty of DssD's soundtrack, and you've got a film that is NOT TO BE MISSED! Also, I recommend a visit to DssD's site on MP3.com. If you don't know about these guys, you're in for a treat!
