Reviews for "Tamer"

I can't move at the very start for some reason, but I give the art style praise

good basis for a game, obviously need to work out the bugs, but there is potential...
If I may offer some personal suggestions
add a way to increase the number of monsters the player can "tame" 6 is a nice starting point but if you are going to have up to 70 different species in the finished product more room would be nice
allow players some level of customization of their monsters, not changing species obviously, but hairstyle clothing color etc, would be nice.

What are we supposed to do after the first fight?

Do some fixing and its a five for me. Make it so you can load saves with a code.

It definitely has potential, but there are a LOT of severe bugs and some that aren't too bad in its current state, but can certainly cause issues as you add more content.

It is way too easy to accidentally skip pieces of essential dialogue, which can legitimately break the game. My first attempt had me accidentally start the second Dusty fight early, which skipped the lust tutorial, had me rename him, and then softlocked me.

You can loot null items from enemies. If they have nothing on them, an empty slot should not be lootable. It can be fixed by "using" the null item, which appears to just delete it with no effect, but that shows me there's issues with the core systems.

You're asked if you want to attempt taming even if you fail combat. I can absolutely see that causing issues.

The combat is agonizingly slow. Speed up the animations and shorten the delay in between actions.

The UI needs some serious touching up. All the stats in the top corners during combat are difficult to read because they're so small. Also, skills and tease abilities should show a mana cost and their effects on the enemies. It's literally impossible to tell at a glance what each thing does and whether or not it's worth using. Also, a short description on what each character class and stat do would be very useful during character creation. How do I know what to invest my points in if I don't know what any of the stats do?

As I said before, the game has potential, but in its current state, it's super buggy and needs refining at a core level before you start adding feature creep. I wouldn't play a full version of what I'm seeing now, but with some TLC, it could be something really good.
