The only time I've ever had to use the starting statement "aren't you a little old" was at work. It was to a 20 year old who wanted to break the rules we set for safety reasons, and I laid into him right in front of the other costumers just to embarrass the fucking hell out of him.
Pulled him in close and wrapped an arm around him in front of everyone and said, "I know I went over the rules, I know I said not to climb on or attempt to jump over some of the stuff on the field. Because they could move or break under a person's weight, and yet you did both those things in less that five minutes apart from each act. Aren't you a little old to be acting like an entitled child, and pretending that I didn't go over the rules, and acting like just because you paid to be here means you can do what you want. These other people paid just like you, and they follow the rules, and some are only ten years old."
