Reviews for "Waterworks!"

who'd a thunk that a game about managing water would be so fun to puzzle with, AND informative.
Very neat
thank you kanye

Such a great game - love the simple art, the clean play mechanics, etc. My only comments (as others have) are that the deck should reshuffle automatically if there aren't enough cards left to draw 5, and also that I wasn't entirely clear from the tutorials at the beginning that I could start construction projects and not finish them immediately in the same turn. I definitely got going slower than I would've liked because I didn't know that I could start a project and wait on getting the right cards in order to finish it.

Otherwise, really phenomenal work!

Few games have such educational value on top of being fun. As someone who has not lived in central Europe I felt like I learned something about the people who live there just by playing this. Five stars are not enough!

This is a FANTASTIC game! The game play is intriguing, the flow of events and turns are smooth, and it becomes very addicting to get to that next milestone. I like how everything can eventually be upgraded to hold more cards, as those are a necessity for the future turns.

Some minor improvements could make the game even better:

--Just as in any kind of deck-building game, the deck should reshuffle automatically if it doesn't have 5 cards to draw each turn. Having a turn with less than 5 cards (sometimes 1) was annoying
--Make it so that all 3 warehouse tabs show up at the bottom of each individual menu. That way the player doesn't have to close a tab and open another one.
--It would be interesting if there was a different way to fight the fires in the later turns, since the city has wells and sumps, instead of having to sacrifice a water carrier (just a thought cause those fires are annoying lol)
--When looking at an upgrade blueprint (the red ones, can't remember the exact name), it shows the cost to start the project. Adding the final build cost to the card would also help so that the player doesn't start a project with just enough gold for the components, but then realize he needs another 30 to actually finish it. Granted, one can use donations or save the project for a later turn, but this addition would be nice

Aside from those minor things, the game was so well done! This is the most detailed and gripping game I've played in quite a while on Newgrounds. Major hats off to you for the hard work and attention to detail.

Now if I could just stop my townsfolk from having so many babies, or inviting their family to come live with them XD

wow really interesting little game, can not believe how addictive this is although it is quite difficult. really like the idea of step based system and the cards really brings unique taste of chance. and I really hate the fires in the city. huge thanks
