On the last mission, my horsemen sacrificed themselves while distracting the Undead King so I could win. Press F.

My main strat is Horseman + Heroes; Spearman + Trenches and Archers + Catapults. Crow supported the latter, although if the Crow could buff other units, he would buff other units.
UPDATE: I would like some freedom of choosing the battles.
Or at least being more FTL-like:
F.E.: An undead horde chases you because you have the last part of a very OP anti-undead spell scroll/weapon/whatever is it and you have to bring it some sort of holy temple to cast a ritual to repel all of the undead. Would be nice enough.
And please, increase the buff radius by at least 10%. Most of the playtime I just tried to make units receive the hp/movement bonuses, which was very frustrating.
And big thanks to you for a massive improvement over Prototype no.1!
