I killed the shopkeeper in the most creative way. A hoppy yellow thing jumped on him. I didn't kill him with a boomerang. :)

Good game! I just wish there was more music and more setting.
The black void kinda looks a little wack, but it's a solid game.

The void is the blackness at the walls of the levels.
I just felt like it was empty, maybe you could replace with ocean, clouds, space, sky? I don't know do whatever.
