liked the background music tho
I was happy to find a proper music for the :D
The gameplay is simplistic and rough around the edges, judging double jumps correctly is cumbersome, leading to many preventable deaths. The pixel art is very basic, but has it's charm. Honestly, where this title shines is it's one sole backing track. The music has a relaxing, smooth groove that keeps you in the zone as you hop over slime enemies. This little game is a decent enough time waster.
(Edit: I am editing this as a "response" to the author reacting to this review, since Tom Fulp apparently hates me and refuses to add a way to respond to author reactions directly.
First off, I'm glad to hear this constructive criticism is fueling your drive to improve. That should always be the ultimate goal of criticism: improvement. Secondly, to answer your question: perhaps a basic side-scrolling shoot 'em up, for variety and developmental experience? I'd be interested in seeing the charm put into this game put into something totally different. But ultimately, you work on whatever drives you. Food for thought.)
Thank you for the feedback man very appreciate that. I'm learning to make a better feel to the game and better graphics. This feedback is fuel that keeps me learning to create better games.Which genre my next game should be?:)
