I like the concept!
What I think is difficult to understand is that the games/job/trip buttons increase your permanent sadness - the reason for this understanding difficulcy is that they say they only give + Happiness.
Same for failing when using the buttons on the left side.
Change possiblity:
Each button should show exactly what it does - or unlock it once pressing it, for example:
Family: +30 Happiness/s. Failure chance 30(?just guessing here?)%. +XX Sadness on Failure. (The Failure chance and +Sadness on failure could unlock after pressing it once, even for later playthroughs. This way, the player would have progress even when he dies: He would still unlock the button-tooltips)
OMG, thank you SO MUCH.
I can't believe you wasted your time just to make a review like this to help me.
I'll make another version of this game soon fixing all of these issues.
Hey - I think this is an interesting concept for a game - particularly if you're trying to share a message about dealing with depression or about happiness in general!
I noticed as I played that the soicalize button didnt seem to do anything when I pressed it though? The rest of the game seemed to function fine, though I wasn;t sure where it's leading to - maybe you could interweve some narrative about moving from hopelessness to hopefulness as the game progresses?
Thank you for your review!
I'll surely fix this game soon.
Idea's there, but it's a bit unclear how to play the game - before you even realize what and how to do things you're already in the thick of it. Keep it up!
Thank you! I know, I didn't put enough effort in it.
It is a Ludum Dare game, made in less than 2 days
Thank you for your review!
