I'm in love with the paper mario feel to this game, my only concerns is that A. my partner can get stuck behind a bush or something and just gone. Maybe see if its possible to have the partner teleport to you if they are so many blocks away? and B. I kind of wish there was more actual physical interactions, like being able to see her gently pull the tail or her strike a provocative pose n the enemy react (I realize thats a helluva lot more work, but would add a lot I think) Otherwise the artstyle is adorable, I love the mechanics, interested in seeing what else you make of this later in your career if you continue this project

They should teleport if you travel far enough away, but its possible with the iterations and new features I added that this got broken. I'll investigate, thanks!
And I'm glad you like the style! The style adjustment was made actually to accommodate a smaller workload, since making several poses per character was taking a long time in comparison to making smaller styled portraits. Having action poses when a character does a thing is also on my to do list.
love this secondary style! It's far more interactive than the original in terms of movement, I did however like the ability to choose specific spots to touch in the previous version/style.
