Reviews for "Whispers of Remembrance"

This is possibly one of the best, heart-warming, light pieces I have ever heard.
You sir, rule the musicians on Newgrounds.

ChronoNomad responds:

Your words are too kind. I feel truly humbled by such praise...

Thank you very much for saying such a thing, though I don't believe I could ever stand at the pinnacle of talent here on Newgrounds! There are simply far too many incredible artists to contend with. Nevertheless, I appreciate the compliment.

Are trying to make me cry or sleep becuz I cried myself to sleep with this song its too beatiful

ChronoNomad responds:

D'aww~! Not really trying to make you do either, but to strike an emotional chord through music is a great accomplishment indeed. Thanks for leaving such a heartfelt review!

True story - this song made me verklempt. (learned that word watching SNL) I actually just listened to your track below this one 'Anytown, RPG' and am back, revived from that to review here. :') No question this is very captivating and pulls a bit mercilessly at the heart. Stunning, resplendent work! (and quite talented art to be inspired from!) To comment partly for the other song mentioned too, I'm impressed by your ability to richly succeed at evoking different styles/moods. Well done!^^

ChronoNomad responds:

Ah! How did I miss responding to this? *sigh* Probably because I've been so busy with the 2017 NGADM and we ended up losing our electricity and Internet due to some crazy weather over the past week. Without further ado...

Thank you for dropping off such a nice review, backwardecho! Verklempt is a good word, and the fact that this plucked at your heartstrings in such a way is quite the triumph. And resplendent! My, my...these words feel too big for my humble talents, but I truly appreciate the feedback.

This and 'Anytown RPG' could hardly be more different! That said, to hear that each track is able to summon up its individual moods and feelings effectively makes all the time and effort put into them worthwhile. Thank you again!

Excellent writing. The only drawback is overly synthy leads that don't quite mesh with the acoustically realistic accompaniment. This did take me out of my element quite a bit. Regardless, the piece still represents the sense of wonder and perspective conveyed in the artwork, and I enjoyed it enough to download. Spellbinding composition!

ChronoNomad responds:

Thank you for the fine review, EDM364! Yes, I do wish that I had something better to work with, but I do try to squeeze the most out of what I have. Without spending large sums of money, it's really difficult to get a particularly realistic violin sound, whether with a high-priced suite or an actual violin.

Nevertheless, it's always nice to know that the integrity of the composition can still shine through despite inherent flaws. Suffice to say, I am happy to have left you spellbound! As long as the spirit of the artwork is felt through the music, I am content.

Great work..
Smooth and relaxing with a refined touch of happiness.. IMO you should of added more tension !
But still great!! Keep it up!

ChronoNomad responds:

Thanks for another quick review! For the most part, I wanted the music to reflect the art that it was inspired by, which translates into a more relaxed and mysterious vibe. There is a moment of increased tension there near the end, though! Glad you enjoyed it.
