It`s not my favorite

spent a good hour stuck on the first screen until i realized it says arrow keys aim and not the mouse. one screen in and this game is already kicking my ass. unfortunately i cant get very far, being frustrated with my own dumbness, and my laptop having very small arrow keys, which dont mesh well with my clumsy sausage fingers, but controls are tight and responsive, the ball thing has a nice weight to it - not super heavy but not floaty either, just heavy enough to feel decently challenging with the platforms - and the effect of the hits, art style and music are all beautiful. wonderful work lads, cant wait to experience more with a more suitable keyboard soon.

I'm scoring this high mostly from the novelty of the concept, however the art style and music are both very nice. The controls are a bit overwhelming, I don't know if it's because of the precision required or that there's so many possible movement options. I think adding a jump button that functions similar to the down hit without the immunity to hazards would be a nice addition.

There's also a problem with the diagonal hits, seems like after a hit if I try to move with wasd after one it keeps dragging me in the direction I was hit towards. Also, when things get tough my monkey brain is too tempted to just hold down space and mash directions. The level design as far as difficulty is concerned feels like Super Meat Boy or Celeste, but the controls feel like they'd belong more in a puzzle-platformer like Fez or Trine

I don't know if you're planning on expanding on this concept but I really like it, if you simplified the controls a bit the level design could work really well, conversely, if you add more movement options this could make a good puzzle platformer.

I got myself glitched underneath the lava hazard and was stuck in the ground doing nothing but seeing something like a conveyor belt, so yeah.
Edit/Response: Sorry for pressuring you into fixing a bug that only 1/100 players could probably find. Not trying to be rude or anything about that. Sorry.

mmattugh responds:

I think I found the spot. I guess the death collider didn't fully cover that bottom section :/. I pushed some changes fixing it.

Sorry about that.

Pretty hard to actually handle, and I just went through a red line in the fourth or fifth screen and got stuck in the ground. I could still jump, but could not go anywhere. That's a meh for me: good concept, but not convinced by the way it's implemented. Maybe aiming and shooting with the mouse would make the game easier to learn?

mmattugh responds:

I think I fixed that area just now, thanks for letting me know and sorry about that.
