You can just walk past floor spikes. So long as you don't jump or fall on them, floor spikes are harmless.

Loved the concept, but frustrating to have end game areas where you cant pass without the bodies

I made it to level 16, didn't get over far enough to land on the body already down there. Now I'm kicking myself in the afterlife.
