Reviews for "Sublo & Tangy Mustard #13 - Convention"

i was watching sublo and tangy mustard going to toronto canda, it made my ride pretty relaxing.

This is the BEST one so far! The writing is the most clever and well written. The jokes are more creative and nuanced. It's longer. Had some extra dope visuals! Gotta love it! Why did their outlines randomly change color at the end tho?

Aaron-Long responds:

That was just a weird experiment. I thought it might be a fun way to visualize their excitement by having them 'glow' a little, like they're so excited their colours can't be contained by the black outlines. Maybe it wasn't a good idea, I dunno!

First episode I watched of this, it's pretty simple but pretty fun. The art is nice, and the music adds an air of charm as well. Sometimes animation quality spikes up, and that's appreciated.

I don't think enough happens through the script, or at least the cast seems too "normal" and the scenarios feel too "normal" as a result. Like, they go to an event, they see a press conference, they goof off, then come back to the evaluation. The series of events aren't particularly note worthy, even if fun to watch. Basically I feel it doesn't get crazy enough with the script.

It was certainly fun to watch though. Although ultimately what I think would help improve this quite a lot is having the cast bounce off of each other more than mostly "whatever dude". The cast functions together too well. Having a plot setup that has more of a hook to it would help keep me more interested through out and play to the comedy more. And I think an air of slapstick would go with the humor well, the character design jokes were silly fun. Just my suggestions of what I felt was missing.

But again, nice job.

Well Done.

This series is what made me decide to make a Newgrounds account, just so I can rate and follow you. Keep up the amazing work.

Aaron-Long responds:

that's so cool! thanks!
