This...is awesome. You really captured the essence of Smash T.V. and then some. I always enjoy pixel graphics and pixel gore and this is that in all it's glory. As feedback to make it more original I would say you could add some melee attack like a sword or something for close encounters. OH! and more enemy variety. But as it is. It's ultra fun. Congrats!!

So, it's a pretty good game, but a few points of feedback:

One, when I beat the final boss and try to teleport out, it goes to fullscreen and restarts the game. Which sucks.

Two, the arenas need to be a little less claustrophobic- the enemies come too fast, and its way too possible to get cornered and die in a non-interactive fashion.

On that note, mercy invulnerability when you respawn- it's absolutely possible to get caught, die, respawn and kill a barrel guy, die to the explosion, etc. Alternatively, I've died to the boss, then immediately died on respawn because that's where the boss is located, which sucks.

The railgun is a terrible gun- it doesn't kill the barrel guys on one hit, and due to the rate of fire they actually get more time to run to you compared to your normal gun. it's also too small of a line of travel- if your enemies aren't in a perfect line from you the gun is awful and will get you killed.

It would also be cool if there was something to do with your winnings other than buy lives. As-is, there's no reason not to just dump your money into extra lives.

Upsides, the game is pretty, and enjoyable! I look forward to the final version. But as is, the game-breaking glitch and occasional non-interactive deaths suck.

it's a good game it just needs some little tweaks here and there, such as giving a dodge roll or something to escape being cornered by the enemies, possibly have the items that spawn on the audience be thrown into the center of the room and some modifications on the hitboxes for the sword wielding enemies.

But overall a great but hard game.

Great game, really captures that old Smash TV feel! A few criticisms about an otherwise well-done effort:

1) Is there any way to capture the mouse to the game's window while it's being played? I have a dual monitor setup, and it's quite frustrating to suddenly lose all control of my character because I accidentally clicked in my second monitor.

2) Could the aiming reticle be made more visible (maybe bright red and/or flashing)? It's too easy to lose sight of it in the accompanying mayhem.

3) When respawning after a death, maybe give the character limited-time invulnerability from explosions? Too often I'd die, explode & respawn in the center, said respawn explosion killing several bomb-carriers in the vicinity, whose explosions would then immediately kill me again.

Excellent game overall, very enjoyable. :)
