Reviews for "Heavens dancefloor (light mix)"

Here ya go

Just returning the favor. 10/10, 5/5, reviewed! :)

The song: I like. Very relaxing and fit very nicely with that portal submission. Very cool melodies, and very nice synths. Also, that piano fit in perfectly as well.

Congrats on an awesome song ;)

Music-story responds:

My main objective accomplished. Glad you felt relaxed. Kudos for your song too. Very stylish.

Nice,

Very good movment thoughout the piece, very relaxing but still makes you want to dance. The ending was a little abrupt. This one sounds more composed than some of your other songs. I realy liked the variaty of drums you used but I think there were sections where one part of the drum set over powered the changes (ie the snare in the last section). Nice use of filters. Also I liked the varied instrument choices. Good job all together.

Music-story responds:

:) This song used in a submission. Yah!! Thanks for the review Dr-Zorrito. PM me whenever you make more songs. I blame my speakers for decieving my ears about the snare being too loud. Bah. Okay bye for now.

11 reviews in 2 days? O_O Wow...

That's a lot of reviews for 2 days of being in the Portal... I've barely achieved that rate of reviews, and then that's with my latest song, Nova. =P You must really want reviews for these two. Here's mine, then. =P

This song does sound like a "light mix" of your previous. And a good one, at that. It's definitely better, and very uplifting. Melodic, too. You've set up a good (though somewhat cliched) attitude with this.

Your introduction is nice, as are your transitions. Your ending is a bit abrupt, but is decent nevertheless.

Your choices in instruments are good, especially the piano. The one exception to this would be the loud, standout, snare-like drum you introduce partially through the song which fits but not to the same degree as everything else. Other than that, it's overall a good submission. Quite the party song, too. =P Keep submitting - PM me if you ever have something you want me to review. =)

Music-story responds:

Yeah I guess I have to work on my sound balance. Clarity well nothing I can do about it. Dang...so close to a 10/10. I blame my speakers for decieving my ears. :) Still I'm glad you think it is a party song. Dance section = dancing. I can't dance to rave. Sorry if you think the song is cliched but I'm all for happy songs and I think I made you too happy your in disbelief lol. Thanks again for the extra long review. I will give your next song a longer review so you can have fun reading it. Bye for now

Cool!

Pretty good, has some nice synths....

Music-story responds:

Hey, thanks for review...not sure why 6/10 on originality. I don't think I ever heard anyone make a song similar to this one on NG unless you heard another song similar to it?

great work man

Cool piano riff, reminds me of Italian house. Nice, simple melodies to drift away to. Nice harmonizations on the strings throughout.

Nice tone on the new bassline. Ahh, nice sound effect to break into the new section. I like the human style vowel synth sound! Nice dreamy melody again.

Something thats bugging me a little bit is the track feels a bit overcompressed. Perhaps some of the lead sounds a little loud?

Overall, really nice track, you've got a good ear for harmony and melody, no doubt about it dude.

Music-story responds:

Well your bang on the overcompressed part but maybe for the wrong reason. I compressed this 30mb song down to 3.5 mb so sometimes you hear some distortion. Making music with a $20 program also doesn't help my quality. I'm not rich :( I need to buy logic express but costs 400 dollars. Thanks for the review.
