Reviews for "Rise Your Sword"

i'm hoping this will have some mad tweak to set it above your average battle thing... it doesn't really but it is quite intense.
nice

i'll try later

Inspiring

I'd have to agree with Winter on this one. I felt the lead up to the fighting scene itself was supurb. Now don't think that means I dislike the battle scene itself (In my mind the battle scene begins the moment the snares start pressing down on the listener more), that part too was in my mind pretty damn impressive, oppressive, and vicious, however there was just this tense energy I liked more in the beginning.

The song also loops wonderfully.

The flutes in my opinion are just as great as the french horns, if not more so. Especially when they play this repetitive riff again and again. it's only five notes, but I personally think they did a lot for the song itself.

I felt the french horns were a little too laid back when the snares and timpini started striking down harder. I could be wrong however, increasing their volume may drown out the subtle strings.

In any case, it was a great experience sorohanro. Keep up the good fight! Keep them coming!

sorohanro responds:

well, your musical intuition and knowlege gave you a preety close image of what i intended to write.glad you liked it, and if you liked it, that means is good...
i didn't noticed the fact that is looping nice... now that you told me...
i had a brake here because i'm workin with a band in Bucharest for the new album, and i have to practice trumpet because i will have a VERY important concert in St.Petersburg.
hope you'r ok, i missed your reviews :)
take care

nice

this was really nice dud
it wasnt really the battle, but the events that led up to it, i felt..
the french horn parts were really mellow
yet gave the song a feeling that something is gonna happen.

great job man keep it up

sorohanro responds:

well, the part with the horn is ment to build the tension before battle, you'r right about that.the battle is when the percussion starts, but is more an... coreography then a battle.i see it more like a fight betwen personalityes, so the finality of battle is way BEFORE they take the swords

Nice Music!

This is really "Heroic" and "War" kind of music. Keep up the good work!

sorohanro responds:

thanx. i hope you'll like also the rest of my stuff here
