a few bits of trouble
Firstly, the character moves very slowly, it seems to take way too long to move around the screen. Secondly, it seems that you could just intantly winn by tapping the same button over and over again, try adding things like combo moves. Finaly, once one of then kicks you, they all swarm around you and you can't beat them until you die, try fixing it by shotening the time it takes for you to recover from being hit.
Off to a kicking start.
Good start. Solid, repeated thrashing of two nameless baddies. The downside? It's imcomplete state, obviously, as well as the needed scrolling action, enemy variety, music, and final bad guy. Maybe even some levels?

One other thing, one VERY important thing - Lose the childish "arrgh" sound. I have nothing against younguns, hell I practically am one, but they DO NOT make for good gangster voices.
