Reviews for "Monster Mind"

This game is extremely well made. It's fun, some what challenging, and the art is very good...

I wonder what it was programmed with or if it was made from scratch. If anyone has an idea I would love to know!

argonvile responds:

The game was made using HaxeFlixel, if you are interested at all in making 2D games I encourage you to try their tutorial.

https://haxeflixel.com/documentation/getting-started/

If you have some experience programming, you can get through the tutorial in 2-3 hours and you will probably feel motivated to make your own games as well. The engine makes it very easy to have things like sprites moving around, collision detection, custom graphics and tilesets, maps and enemy AI. My game is in Flash, but you can use Haxe to build games for android, HTML5, windows, iOS or other platforms as well.

I encourage you to start with small games but of course the sky is the limit!

This is an amazing game!!
The puzzles are fun, the characters are charming (i love sandslash) And the sex scenes are rewarding!
The only problem i really have is that Some characters arent able to use the dildo, and i dont know if you can use some on them, but i kind of want a few more dildo's and items that work on everyone.
But apart from that, 10/10 IGN would fap again

argonvile responds:

Yeah i know, I wish all the characters could use all of the items! But it's a lot of art to draw... maybe some day if I have more time. Sorry!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Just.. Awesome. All I can say.

I REALLY love this game. I love the interactions and the puzzles, though they can be difficult some times. One thing that has been on my mind is what will happen to the game when flash isn't supported? I can't download the Newgrounds Flash Player on Chromebook, because, well, it's Google. Do you have plans to keep the game around when flash is gone?

argonvile responds:

Thanks! The nice thing about keeping the game around is that it isn't "written in flash", it's written in Haxe and can potentially be ported to Android/HTML5/Windows. One of the game's fans on the official discord has already ported it to Android although it has some graphical problems.

Once Flash kicks the bucket I'll look more seriously into porting it! Sorry you can't play it on your Chromebook...

Honestly, I agree with the others. It's fun enough as a standalone game, even if I was left scratching my head a few times. But the characters, those are what kept me around, their personalities, their dialogue, their personal questions and personal lives, their likes their kinks and everything, every character feels like... A person, and that's great.

Honestly, I'm just a little sad its ended, and that our hand doesn't get much closure per say, but I understand you put a lot of effort into this game and it'd be selfish to ask for more. So... thank you Argon, this was really nice. I loved it.

argonvile responds:

The build-up to how the game ends took a lot of effort -- there's about 8 different combinations based on your gender, Abra's gender, and what kinds of choices you make! Keeping all of those threads going any further would have been a crazy amount of work but I'm glad you enjoyed it, for what I could accomplish working by myself

I'd love to make another game in the style of this one, I had a lot of fun bringing the characters to life and writing for all of them. Of course it couldn't be a flash game, so I have to figure out something new! I'm working on that sort of stuff. Thanks for your support~
