Cool game! It,s fun, beautiful, and has some good depth. It did freeze-up on me when I had to answer another window and would not reactivate.

Fun game. Good monster designs, but kept simple enough that creating a bunch of them was/is a realistic goal. Gameplay could be a little more fast paced here and there, and maybe the battle system is just a little too heavy on healing options. But that's just impressions from a single playthrough of this demo. The only real issue I have is the game not remembering my save game. When I close the tab and reload it my save is gone. That could very well be something in my settings, but I figured I'd let you know anyway.
I LOVE this game, very fleshed out and it's hard to believe it only has 3.41 stars. Now, enough mindless praise, let's get to the review.
Pros:
-Unique gameplay. I've never seen a mix of RPGs and Sidescrolling Platformers before!
-A lot of monsters to raise, care for, and fight with
-Every monster is useful, even the slimes
-You can name your monsters
-Battles are simple but not too simple
Cons:
-No indication of what ability to use on certain obstacles
-The familiar is a little too powerful
-Even with 4 stars, monster eggs are still VERY rare.
-No first-strike bonuses
Fun, good art, good music, solid idea. In all I'm enjoying it a great deal. My only issue is properly utilizing monster abilites to get past assorted barriers. Not that they're hard to use, but it can be a pain trying to guess what monster uses what ability that'a useful in what situation. Some sort of index or guide of monster abilities, with perhaps some hint as to what breaks different barriers, would be nice.
The Concept of the Game isn't exactly supercreative but the Art, Music and Execution is absolutely solid and so far it plays nicely. Unfortunately there's still Glitches.
When selecting the level of your skill crashed the game for me (It only did it once after the first time crash it works).
