Reviews for "No Name (Update 1.2)"

very frustrating to controle, you cant jump and walk at the same time, feels a LOT Like limbo. I would say make it a bit more original and make the controls smoother.

its copy limbo so deleted this

Kind of reminds me of Limbo in that it sucks and I don't like it. Limbo was too artsy and pretentious, but controlled like a real game. This tries to be artsy and pretentious but the controls are broken and only work when they want. In that case it's worse than Limbo, so good job on that.

Ok.. so first. I would like to say that the art of the game is beautiful. Everything 'looks' really nice. Unfortunately it doesn't work nice. It works horribly. Bad collisions are constantly tossing the player around, I spent more time dicking with the controls than I did playing the game. I would also say I probably died more as a result of this than the because I screwed up. The window size feels woefully small, granted I would rather have a small window than a ridiculously giant one, but still the instruction text is practically unreadable. I wasn't quite sure how to score the game, although art is important gameplay is much more important and I felt this was more or less unplayable in the current state. That being said I really don't want to discourage you, I think it is a great start. Get things working right and this could have five stars written all over it.

Edit: Thank you for increasing the screen size. That was helpful. I did manage to muddle through the rest of the game and get to the 'end'. Of course the remainder of the problems still do exist, but I can say that the game is winnable for those who are willing to put forth the effort. Unfortunately there is not any payoff at this point. I get the feeling you are still developing the story. I am looking forward to seeing how this comes out in the end.

Thank you for your feedback. I adjusted the window size of the game to try to make the text a bit more readable in the instructions. Please let me know if this helps. As for the controls and collisions, they are still a work in progress. I've adjusted them to be smaller many times but for some reason it still has been somewhat of an issue in the game. I'll keep trying with the other developers and see if I can find a solution though.
