hard but good game

lolz this is so random

This game is a wonderful little experience! The levels are difficult and rewarding, the music and nice and the pixel art and small effects bring would could be a lifeless game to life!

However, this game is being held back by it's controls, your character is slow and very slippery. When making a difficult game like this getting the controls to feel responsive and tight is key, although there not terrible there was more than enough times where I died due to my character not stopping in time or me barely missing the battery due to me being so slow. Another thing is difficulty. I know I said that difficulty was rewarding and nice it's still brutal especially when it's mixed with so-so physics.

But overall, great little game!

too hard in my opinion - im stuck on level 3 where you have to get everything perfectly timed in one run and its nearly impossible ...
you need to give at least a little leeway to keep people trying , as it is its not worth bothering which is a shame .
it looks great though !

Agree with @BigBossErndog - beautiful game. Not surprising you got 2nd for graphics. :)

I imagine it's not easy for devs to estimate where the line between challenging (fun) and frustrating is + you didn't have much time.
imo, that second 'time-battery' coupled with the the moving platform is hard to get at that learning stage. There's like a big gap in the learning curve, and I think a slower learning curve might just do the trick (eg: let us 1st get used to the controls/moves better, then later introduce the time challenge?)
Anyway: amazing job, keep it up! :)

Edit for reply:
I can easily imagine how it must be difficult to plan the time, how much to spend on which part and all but I think you might have aimed a bit too high, maybe you could have just dropped the timing part... but whatever you do : Please, don't think about skipping your beautiful graphics! imo, that was totally worth it! ;)

MorsGames responds:

I find balancing difficulty one of the hardest things in games. Since you've tested the game so many times and designed the levels yourself you have much more experience with the game than an average player. Combine that with me having almost no time to playtest the game... yeah.

The time thing is partially my fault though, I spent like the entirety of the first day and 1/3 of the second day on all graphics and programming, I really should've managed my time better.
