Reviews for "Sokoban Dungeon"

Man I do love Sokoban. Shame there's no undo button.

Sometimes, after you've solved the puzzle, it asks you to enter the solution multiple times (i.e. push blocks in the same way again without adding anything). Sometimes there isn't a puzzle, and every block is just asking you to go through the motions to push them all into place. A lot of the time, the complication, the switch on expectation which makes any puzzle difficult while easy to understand, isn't introduced until you become aware of it at the last second. This wouldn't be an issue if not for this next part: An inherent issue with the design is that you can't go back on your mistakes: In your system, where you indirectly influence the blocks, if they get into certain corners, you have to restart the level. This is bad for a couple reasons: It punishes experimentation, which is demoralizing in a genre about making the player feel smart, and since the solutions are often unique, you are far more likely to make a mistake and have to start over. This game is no fun.

Really good game keep up the good work! The last level was really hard, I couldn't find the solution.

Not bad. but I feel the levels are more mundane than tricky, although some levels were pretty good. Some levels felt unnecessarily inflated, like they could have tested the same logic challenge with less steps. Some levels I found the solution, but some really early unforeseeable mistake meant I had to restart and do it all again, so I was like "nah, I'll just skip to the next level instead of redoing it all"

I strongly recommend adding an undo button to games like this, I.E.: pretty much exactly what all the games on puzzlescript.net have. Also Enter to select is odd.

I see "Most levels by Thinking Rabbit". Does that mean you grabbed the levels from the 1988 game Sako-Ban? That's kinda lame... So I deducted points

Needs music and the graphics could be of more interesting things

Oh this game is so nice! It's not hard, it's not fast, it's skill-based but not timed, the motion is easy... the environment is a nice pixelart throwback... I love it.
19 did stump me for a minute. ;)
