Reviews for "Path of Atlon"

You really need to dig to enjoy it.
Lets be honest, in the first 5 minutes I wanted to quit the game.
I was a bit let down with the dialogues as you need to wait until you can read it all. When you press "J" it actually skip the current dialog. It would have been nice if you make it appear instantly just like any other games that uses this mechanic.

Overall the game is interesting. I enjoyed the "pokemon" twist, athough it becomes really repetitive when you enter a zone and try to make the story goes forward. At the end I just try to get close to wall to avoid any obstacles. But it is not a solution either as you need XP.

When you start the game, challenging a bandit is really difficult because you nearly need to macro the combat. But as you become stronger you get more confident and engage quite easily, except those bosses..
And let's talk about bosses.. the imbalance is there. Their minions are awfully easy compared to that monstruous boss. Hopefully you did a clever job by re-allocating XP points into your inventory to be able to adapt to the combat, that is nice. But I couldn't finish the game after an hour and a half because I run through forest 1 level and found "the leader" and he was so empowered and I had no energy to go back to town to stuff my buddy up for this combat.

Although you tried to make the story interesting and managed to make so many mechanics with weapons, magic that I found it frustrating that it was not put forward. The game doesn't make me want to get curious about axe combat, wand combat or flute combat because I felt satisfied with the sword which I used during my journey.
Maybe you could get all the details you made, a bit more forward because at the end I was just unleashing my sword in the nacks of any bandit I met. And that was it for me.

Good job on it, I could feel that there was some effort in the story telling, but a bit repetitive with the pokemon style combat.

Fun, but the flute is way too imbalanced.

Decent game! I'm not sure what the "miss chance" is...but after a while, reading "you miss" & "enemy miss" over and over and over again gets tedious. Really hurts the pacing of the game. I was lvl 7 with the sword (aka the accurate weapon), and still managed to miss 5+ times in a row...A LOT!!

The first thing I noticed was the text speed was too slow, it made reading text kind of tedious. There's also an issue with the combat system. You miss your attacks way too often, I had to replay the first fight many times before I could win. The combat was just boring and there was very little skill to it, it was mostly luck. I quit after that, because I got bored of the game.

my inventory keeps disappearing, the items are still equipped, but if i select something else i cannot re equip it , happens multiple times

Thx for the report, the inventory is working now (:
